Seasonal/Repeating

Event Series and Seasonal Bookings for Repeating Events

Looking for a space that can accommodate a longer running performance, or a space to hold some regularly scheduled programming like an AGM, a market or a showcase?

Check out the information below and use the links to find your perfect space.

What is an event series?

An event series is a number of events usually on the same theme that can take place consecutively or non-consecutively on a varying schedule. Some examples might be:

  • A theatre performance with a two week run (consecutive multi-day event)
  • A monthly film festival or a concert series (non-consecutive multi-day event)

What are seasonal bookings?

Seasonal bookings are like an event series but may be tied to a specific time of year (eg. fall, winter, spring, summer or tied to a specific holiday). Generally all the events in the series should have the same basic set up. Examples include:

  • Classes/workshops
  • Markets
  • Showcases
  • Seasonal concerts – e.g. holiday concerts
  • Other seasonal performances
  • “Day of” celebrations – e.g. National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
  • Annual general meetings
  • Quarterly meetings

What should I consider?

Booking a multiple instance event may be even easier than booking a single event, depending on the venue you partner with. Most venues would love to have your ongoing business that can essentially be planned once and then repeated for each occurrence!

It is even more important to have all the necessary licensing and regulatory aspects in place for these types of events. If you are missing something, you run a higher risk of running into issues eventually.
